00:00:00.000 Something that's, you know, kind of bitchy. 1.00
00:00:03.820 Ready to cheek. 1.00
00:00:04.820 Bitchy? 1.00
00:00:05.560 I know. 1.00
00:00:06.060 It's just, you know, bitchy. 1.00
00:00:08.100 Well, first of all, you're a little bitchy. 1.00
00:00:10.560 That's next level bitchy. 1.00
00:00:13.260 Welcome to Bitchy History, the irreverent history podcast where one history professor 1.00
00:00:17.180 gets to bitch about history and the impact it has on the world today. 0.92
00:00:21.060 Welcome back to Bitchy History, the show where we take history's messiest moments and show 1.00
00:00:25.120 you how they're still screwing us over today. 1.00
00:00:27.640 And oh boy, do I have a topic for you.
00:00:29.860 Today's episode is based on a paper I wrote recently for a graduate certificate program
00:00:33.920 in gender and public policy that I'm enrolled in.
00:00:36.640 That's right, I went back to school again.
00:00:39.180 What was I thinking?
00:00:40.580 Today, we're talking about one tiny part of Project 2025,
00:00:44.880 its master plan to unravel reproductive health care and social equity in the United States.
00:00:50.340 So let's break it down.
00:00:51.620 Project 2025 isn't just your run-of-the-mill conservative initiative.
00:00:55.340 It's a full-on blueprint for overhauling the federal government to align with right-wing ideologies.
00:01:01.700 Think of it as a how-to guide for dismantling progress, courtesy of the Heritage Foundation.
00:01:07.000 At the center of this scheme is Mandate for Leadership,
00:01:09.640 a 900-page manual that outlines their plans to reshape federal agencies
00:01:13.860 and implement policies that restrict civil rights and liberties.
00:01:17.520 They're not subtle about it either.
00:01:19.000 Their proposals are bold, sweeping, and downright terrifying.
00:01:22.780 While Trump's campaign tried to distance itself from Project 2025 publicly before the election,
00:01:28.640 plenty of its architects are quietly sliding into key positions in his orbit in the next administration.
00:01:34.680 Coincidence? I think not.
00:01:36.740 What does this all mean?
00:01:37.640 Well, Project 2025 isn't just an attack on reproductive health care.
00:01:41.640 It's a calculated effort to remake the U.S. government into a tool for oppression.
00:01:45.920 And Title X is one of the first dominoes that they want to knock over.
00:01:50.060 To understand why Project 2025's attack on Title X is such a big deal,
00:01:53.900 we need to take a quick trip back in time to the 1970s.
00:01:57.060 It was an era of civil rights movements, second-wave feminism, and public health reform.
00:02:01.780 Amid all of this social change, Congress passed the Public Health Service Act of 1970,
00:02:06.960 which included the creation of Title X.
00:02:10.000 Why? Because the U.S. was finally starting to recognize that access to family planning services
00:02:14.760 was critical, not just for individual health, but for public health and economic stability.
00:02:20.220 Title X was a game changer. It provided low-income individuals with access to contraception,
00:02:25.200 cancer screenings, STI testing, and maternal health care, all at little to no cost. For many
00:02:30.760 underserved communities, Title X-funded clinics became their only source of health care.
00:02:35.400 And let's be clear, Title X wasn't just about reproductive health, it was about giving people
00:02:39.920 the tools to plan their lives, whether that meant delaying parenthood so they could pursue
00:02:44.180 education or career, or trying to bring a child into the world in a healthy and safe manner.
00:02:49.540 And it worked. Title X clinics have helped millions of people avoid unintended pregnancies,
00:02:54.520 saved countless lives through preventative care, and even reduced abortion rates by making
00:02:58.780 contraception widely accessible. For example, in 2015 alone, Title X-funded services prevented
00:03:04.940 over 800,000 unintended pregnancies. Since the 1970s, that's quite literally millions of people
00:03:11.800 who had the chance to make choices about their own futures.
00:03:15.000 But as always, progress comes with backlash.
00:03:17.980 Enter the Reagan administration in the 1980s
00:03:20.320 when conservatives introduced the first domestic gag rule.
00:03:23.760 This policy barred Title X clinics
00:03:26.000 from discussing or referring patients for abortions.
00:03:29.120 The goal was clear,
00:03:30.240 undermine access to comprehensive reproductive health care.
00:03:33.580 And unfortunately, this pattern of attacks on Title X
00:03:36.000 has repeated itself over the decades.
00:03:38.620 Fast forward to 2019,
00:03:39.820 when the Trump administration reinstated the gag rule.
00:03:43.160 The effects were devastating.
00:03:44.840 Planned Parenthood and other providers left the program
00:03:47.200 rather than compromise their services.
00:03:49.400 Over 1,000 clinics closed
00:03:51.160 and six states were left without any Title X funded providers.
00:03:54.940 By 2020, the number of people receiving Title X services
00:03:57.880 had dropped by 62%.
00:04:00.060 And then came the Dobbs v. Jackson decision in 2022,
00:04:03.860 which overturned Roe v. Wade
00:04:05.300 and left abortion access up to individual states.
00:04:08.240 Title X suddenly became even more critical,
00:04:10.380 one of the last remaining safety nets for affordable family planning.
00:04:13.940 But as you might have guessed, conservatives weren't done yet.
00:04:17.140 Project 2025 takes these past attacks and supersizes them.
00:04:20.980 By reinstating the gag rule, cutting funding to Title X clinics,
00:04:24.300 and pushing those funds towards crisis pregnancy centers,
00:04:27.520 they're trying to dismantle the entire system.
00:04:29.820 When conservatives target Title X, they aren't just going after a program.
00:04:33.240 They're going after the millions of people who rely on it.
00:04:36.000 And here's the thing.
00:04:36.680 The people who will be hurt the most are already the ones dealing with systemic inequities in
00:04:41.080 healthcare access. We're talking about women of color, LGBTQ plus individuals, low-income families,
00:04:46.900 and rural communities. So let's break down the damage this will do. Let's start with women of 0.81
00:04:51.860 color, particularly Black and Latino women. For decades, these groups have faced staggering
00:04:56.560 disparities in healthcare. Did you know that Black women are nearly three times more likely 0.99
00:05:00.820 to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women? It's not because of biology. It's 0.92
00:05:05.780 because of systemic racism in the healthcare system. Title X has been a critical tool in
00:05:10.620 fighting these disparities. It provides affordable access to contraception, cancer screenings,
00:05:15.200 prenatal care, the works. For Black and Latino women, especially those living in low-income
00:05:19.800 communities, Title X clinics are often the only option for preventative care. But Project 2025
00:05:25.700 doesn't care about closing healthcare gaps. By reinstating the gag rule and defunding providers
00:05:31.140 like Planned Parenthood, these policies will rip away essential services for women of color. 0.56
00:05:35.780 And where do they expect these women to go? 1.00
00:05:38.160 Crisis pregnancy centers. 1.00
00:05:39.760 You know, the ones that don't offer contraception,
00:05:42.240 don't have licensed medical staff,
00:05:43.960 and give you advice based on religious ideology instead of science.
00:05:48.500 Without Title X, these disparities will only deepen.
00:05:51.640 Higher maternal mortality rates, more unintended pregnancies,
00:05:55.100 more women left without the care they need to live healthy, autonomous lives.
00:05:58.500 It's not just cruel, it's deadly. 1.00
00:06:01.640 Next up, the LGBTQ plus community. 1.00
00:06:04.060 Title X clinics have been a safe haven for many queer and trans individuals seeking inclusive, non-judgmental care.
00:06:10.740 Whether it's access to contraception, STI testing, or gender-affirming health care,
00:06:15.340 Title X-funded providers have offered services that many LGBTQ plus folks can't find anywhere else.
00:06:22.020 Now let's look at what Project 2025 has in store for the queer community. 0.89
00:06:25.840 They want to roll back federal protections by redefining sex to exclude gender identity and sexual orientation. 0.64
00:06:31.920 Translation, discrimination against LGBTQ plus individuals will not only be allowed,
00:06:36.640 but baked into healthcare policy.
00:06:39.160 And it doesn't stop there.
00:06:40.820 Crisis pregnancy centers, the ones that Project 2025 wants to fund,
00:06:44.440 are notoriously hostile to LGBTQ plus patients.
00:06:48.400 Some won't even serve them.
00:06:49.980 Others push harmful narratives about sexual orientation and gender identity.
00:06:53.920 For transgender people who already face astronomical barriers to accessing healthcare,
00:06:57.920 this could mean losing access to hormone therapy, STI prevention, and other life-saving treatments.
00:07:03.720 The stakes are high.
00:07:04.780 LGBTQ plus individuals already experience higher rates of untreated health issues and mental health struggles.
00:07:10.520 Removing Title X's affirming care is not going to be just harmful, it is life-threatening.
00:07:16.240 Low-income families are another group that will feel the brunt of Project 2025's policies.
00:07:21.360 Here's the thing about poverty.
00:07:22.640 It doesn't just make health care harder to access, it makes everything harder.
00:07:26.420 And when you're struggling to pay rent or put food on the table, an unintended pregnancy can push you into an even deeper financial hole.
00:07:33.600 By offering affordable contraception and family planning, it gives low-income individuals the ability to make choices about their futures.
00:07:40.040 It's not just about health care, it's about economic stability.
00:07:43.440 But if Project 2025 gets its way, these communities will lose Title X clinics and be left with crisis pregnancy centers that can't meet their needs.
00:07:50.860 And let's be real, if you can't afford a $50 co-pay, you can't afford the alternatives that private providers might offer.
00:07:57.780 The results? More unintended pregnancies, more poverty, and more families forced to rely on public assistance.
00:08:03.740 And while Project 2025 loves to preach about family values, they seem completely uninterested in supporting actual families if they don't have money.
00:08:12.100 Finally, let's talk about rural communities.
00:08:14.300 If you think healthcare access is bad in cities, it's even worse in rural areas.
00:08:18.640 Many rural residents already have to travel miles or hours to see a doctor.
00:08:23.700 For them, Title X clinics are a lifeline.
00:08:26.540 But Project 2025 threatens to close those clinics, leaving rural communities with even fewer options.
00:08:32.120 And those crisis pregnancy centers that Project 2025 wants to fund?
00:08:36.120 Those do not provide the cancer screenings, prenatal care, or basic contraception that these people need.
00:08:42.220 When rural communities lose Title X, the consequences ripple out.
00:08:45.640 increased health risks, widening disparities between rural and urban health care, and a loss
00:08:50.460 of stability for entire regions. Because access to health care isn't just a personal issue,
00:08:54.940 it's a community one. So of course it matters who gets hurt the most by this attack on Title 10,
00:09:00.980 but let's zoom out for a minute. This isn't just about individual health outcomes. The proposed
00:09:06.000 policies will have far-reaching social and economic impacts, hitting public health, the economy, and
00:09:11.540 social stability like a wrecking ball. First up, money. Spoiler alert, it's a lot cheaper to fund
00:09:17.260 Title X than to deal with the fallout of defunding it. Every dollar spent on Title X saves more than
00:09:22.760 seven dollars in health care and social service costs. Why? Because access to contraception and
00:09:28.100 family planning prevents unintended pregnancies, it reduces the need for prenatal care and child
00:09:33.700 birth expenses, and decreases reliance on public assistance programs, which you would think
00:09:38.780 conservatives would be in favor of, seeing how they hate all those welfare queens. But if Project 1.00
00:09:44.360 2025 guts Title X, those savings go out the window. Low-income families will be unable to afford
00:09:49.760 private health care, they will face higher rates of unintended pregnancies, and those pregnancies
00:09:54.280 will strain public resources like Medicaid, housing assistance, and food programs. The economic ripple
00:10:00.280 effects could push even more families into poverty while draining already overstretched public
00:10:04.860 systems. And let's not forget about workforce participation. Title X helps people plan their
00:10:10.100 families, which allows them to stay in school, build careers, and contribute to the economy.
00:10:14.700 Without it, more people, especially women, will be forced to leave the workforce, 0.85
00:10:18.420 creating long-term economic instability. And then there's just the public health 0.98
00:10:22.400 implications. Title X isn't just about contraception, it's about preventative care.
00:10:26.880 Those clinics provide cancer screenings, STI testing, and treatment for millions of people.
00:10:31.320 Without them, many patients will go without early detection for conditions like cervical and breast cancer.
00:10:36.760 And untreated health issues don't just affect individuals, they affect the entire community and economy.
00:10:42.180 Take STI rates, for example.
00:10:44.260 Title X clinics are critical for testing and treating sexually transmitted infections.
00:10:48.920 When those services disappear, infections spread more easily,
00:10:51.860 creating public health crises that are far more expensive to address than preventative care.
00:10:56.660 And here's the kicker.
00:10:57.420 Communities losing these services are the ones that are already facing higher health risks.
00:11:02.680 For women of color, LGBTQ plus individuals and rural residents, losing access to affordable
00:11:07.460 preventative care will worsen disparities that are already firmly entrenched in the system.
00:11:12.500 Title 10 also plays a huge role in social stability. Reproductive health care isn't
00:11:16.780 just about health, it's about autonomy. When people can make informed decisions about if 0.74
00:11:21.360 and when to have children, they have a better chance of pursuing education,
00:11:25.060 building careers, and achieving financial independence.
00:11:28.600 Now imagine taking that away.
00:11:30.200 If Project 2025 succeeds in gutting this program, 0.98
00:11:33.280 unintended pregnancies will skyrocket,
00:11:35.100 and for young people, especially those in low-income communities,
00:11:38.320 this will mean dropping out of school, delaying career goals,
00:11:41.200 or becoming stuck in cycles of poverty.
00:11:43.720 These aren't just individual setbacks.
00:11:45.580 They will hurt the entire community.
00:11:47.720 Communities thrive when their members can access
00:11:49.800 the resources they need to plan their futures.
00:11:52.780 Removing Title X services threatens that stability,
00:11:55.460 leading to higher poverty rates,
00:11:57.280 more reliance on public assistance,
00:11:58.980 and fewer opportunities for upward mobility.
00:12:01.720 Let's not dance around the bigger issue here, though.
00:12:04.400 Autonomy is at the core of this.
00:12:07.040 Title X isn't just a healthcare program,
00:12:09.460 it's a tool for equity.
00:12:11.220 It levels the playing field,
00:12:12.420 giving people who've historically been marginalized
00:12:14.540 a chance to control their own futures.
00:12:17.180 Project 2025's attack on Title X
00:12:19.340 isn't just about budgets or bureaucratic red tape,
00:12:22.220 it's about control. By limiting access to contraception and family planning,
00:12:26.760 these policies strip people of their ability to make choices about their own bodies and lives. 1.00
00:12:31.360 For women of color, LGBTQ plus folks, and low-income families, this isn't just an inconvenience, 1.00
00:12:36.720 it's a direct attack on their dignity and autonomy. And let's be real, these impacts won't
00:12:42.000 stop with Title X. The same ideology that wants to gut reproductive health care and also wants 0.99
00:12:47.260 to roll back protections for LGBTQ plus individuals, also wants to end birthright citizenship and erase
00:12:53.620 discussion of systemic racism from schools. Title 10 is just the first domino. If it falls, what's
00:12:59.620 next? This isn't just an isolated attack. Project 2025 is a full-scale blueprint to reshape the
00:13:05.660 federal government, as I said at the beginning of the episode. They'll strip civil liberties and
00:13:09.880 consolidate power under a conservative agenda. Title 10 is just one piece of a much larger puzzle.
00:13:15.360 So let's take a brief closer look at what else this 900-page playbook has in store.
00:13:20.860 Let's start with power.
00:13:22.140 Project 2025 isn't just about policy changes, it's about consolidating power in the executive branch.
00:13:28.060 If implemented, the plan would increase presidential authority to new and alarming heights.
00:13:32.800 Think warrantless surveillance, increased targeting of journalists and protesters,
00:13:36.740 and fewer checks on executive decisions.
00:13:39.200 What does that look like in practice?
00:13:40.780 Well, imagine a world where peaceful protests are monitored,
00:13:43.800 journalists are harassed, and dissenting voices are silenced. Sound familiar? It's deja vu from
00:13:49.200 some of the darkest chapters of modern history. And this isn't just about security, it's about
00:13:54.420 controlling narratives and stifling opposition. Next on the agenda, immigration. Project 2025
00:14:00.240 proposes gutting protections for immigrants by dismantling the asylum system, ending birthright
00:14:05.340 citizenship, and enforcing mass deportations. If that sounds like a recipe for chaos, it is.
00:14:10.720 These policies would separate families, destabilize communities, violate international human rights standards, and destroy the American economy.
00:14:18.880 And here's the thing, it isn't just about border policy, it's about creating a culture of fear for anyone who doesn't fit into their narrow definition of who belongs in America.
00:14:27.340 Immigrants, especially undocumented ones, are already among the most vulnerable groups in our society.
00:14:32.680 Project 2025's proposals would push them further into the margins.
00:14:35.980 And because attacking healthcare and immigration aren't enough, Project 2025 also sets its 0.74
00:14:41.300 sight on education.
00:14:42.620 Their plan?
00:14:43.480 Suppress discussions about race, gender, and systemic oppression in classrooms.
00:14:47.500 Because apparently acknowledging inequality is just too threatening and makes them feel
00:14:52.000 bad.
00:14:52.880 The goal here is clear.
00:14:54.400 Erase any progress we've made in addressing racism, sexism, and any other systemic issues.
00:14:59.800 By banning these discussions, Project 2025 aims to create a sanitized version of history
00:15:04.920 that ignores the lived experiences of marginalized communities.
00:15:08.740 It's not just censorship, it's an assault on truth.
00:15:11.860 So what do these proposals all have in common?
00:15:14.620 Control.
00:15:15.540 Control over your health care, your rights, your education,
00:15:18.560 even your ability to question authority.
00:15:21.000 Project 2025 isn't just about cutting funding for programs,
00:15:24.280 it's about reshaping the entire federal government to serve a conservative agenda.
00:15:29.640 And the people who will feel the impact first and hardest
00:15:32.280 are those already at intersections of systemic oppression. Here's the thing. Title X may seem
00:15:38.460 like a small piece of the puzzle, but it's a critical one. If they succeed in dismantling it,
00:15:43.160 it sets the stage for more sweeping changes that undermine equity and justice across the board.
00:15:48.060 It's also the next step towards removing control of our bodies and revoking the rights to birth
00:15:52.720 control in this country, which I've talked about in previous episodes. At its core, access to
00:15:57.980 reproductive healthcare isn't just about medicine. It's about dignity. Title X gives people the tools
00:16:03.560 to make informed decisions about their own bodies, their futures, and their families. Whether it's a
00:16:08.540 young woman seeking affordable birth control, a transgender man needing hormone therapy,
00:16:13.420 or a rural family accessing cancer screenings, Title X saves lives. And imagine a world where
00:16:19.240 that lifeline is cut, where people are forced into crisis pregnancy centers that don't provide
00:16:23.600 real healthcare, where reproductive autonomy is reserved for those who can afford it.
00:16:28.260 That's not just inequity, it's injustice. And Project 2025 will not stop there. By targeting
00:16:34.340 Title X, it's setting the stage for a larger rollback of rights. When these communities are 0.66
00:16:39.020 harmed, we all suffer. Public health crises don't stay isolated. Economic instability affects entire
00:16:45.300 regions. And when education is censored, it creates a society that's less informed and less
00:16:49.980 capable of addressing its own challenges. This isn't the first time progress has faced backlash.
00:16:55.340 Throughout history, every step forward has been met with resistance. Think about the civil rights
00:16:59.840 movements of the 1960s or the fight for LGBTQ plus rights in the 2000s. Every time we've expanded
00:17:06.220 access to justice and equality, there has been a counter movement trying to claw it back.
00:17:11.560 Project 2025 is just the latest iteration of this pattern. The history also shows us something else.
00:17:16.720 Progress is resilient. It survives because people fight for it, because communities refuse to stay
00:17:22.600 silent, that we do not fall to the bystander syndrome that someone else will speak up for us.
00:17:28.800 Because individuals like you and me decide that enough is enough. If this project succeeds,
00:17:33.580 the consequences will be devastating. More people will lose access to health care,
00:17:38.060 more families will face economic stability, more rights will be eroded, and the message will be
00:17:42.960 clear. Progress can be undone if the opposition is loud enough. They're not counting on us to
00:17:48.220 fight back, though. They're counting on complacency. They're counting on bystander syndrome, on people
00:17:53.700 feeling overwhelmed, uninformed, powerless. And that's exactly why we can't let that happen.
00:17:59.700 First things first, there are incredible organizations working to protect reproductive
00:18:03.880 health care, and they need our support. Just like Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Center for
00:18:08.640 Reproductive Rights are leading the charge with advocacy, litigation, and direct services.
00:18:13.520 They're fighting policies like Project 2025 every day, but they can't do it alone.
00:18:18.340 So here's what we can do. We can donate. Every dollar counts, whether it's $5 or $500. Your
00:18:24.780 contributions help fund legal battles, clinics, and educational campaigns. We can volunteer.
00:18:30.620 Many organizations need boots on the ground, whether that's at a clinic, making phone calls,
00:18:35.200 or helping with community outreach and spreading the word. Share resources on social media,
00:18:41.060 talk to your friends and family, and keep the conversation going on this topic. Supporting
00:18:46.080 these organizations isn't just helpful, it's critical. They're on the front lines, but we are
00:18:50.600 their reinforcements. Call your representatives. Lawmakers need to know where we stand, whether
00:18:56.160 it's your local representatives, your state officials, or your member of Congress. They work
00:19:00.040 for you, and if they're not standing up for reproductive justice, they need to hear about it.
00:19:04.520 And here's how you can get started on that.
00:19:06.620 Find out who your representatives are.
00:19:08.620 Sites like commoncause.org can help you figure out who represents you at every level of the government.
00:19:14.340 Make the call.
00:19:15.360 Don't overthink it.
00:19:16.760 Just pick up the phone.
00:19:18.040 Tell them you oppose Project 2025 and any policies that undermine reproductive health care or Title X.
00:19:24.100 If talking on the phone makes you nervous, email them or use any number of online advocacy tools.
00:19:29.540 And follow up.
00:19:30.840 Keep the pressure on.
00:19:31.940 Follow up on how your representatives vote and hold them accountable for it.
00:19:36.360 Pro tip, get your friends and family involved too.
00:19:39.080 The more voices they hear, the harder it is for them to ignore us,
00:19:42.380 because this is all about getting re-elected for them.
00:19:44.900 And if enough people speak out, they're going to get worried.
00:19:48.260 And also, stay informed.
00:19:50.060 I know you're already listening to this podcast, so I'm preaching to the choir,
00:19:53.700 but the folks behind Project 2025 are counting on people being uninformed and overwhelmed.
00:19:58.500 But when we understand what's at stake, we can push back with facts, confidence, and clarity.
00:20:03.920 You can stay in the loop by following trusted sources.
00:20:06.500 I recommend some outlets like Guttmacher Institute and the ACLU.
00:20:10.460 You also need to read the fine print.
00:20:12.340 Take the time to understand policies, proposals, and the impact they'll have.
00:20:16.360 The more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to fight back.
00:20:19.980 And share. Share what you learn.
00:20:22.380 Whether it's conversation with a co-worker, a social media post, a book club discussion.
00:20:26.700 Spread this knowledge.
00:20:28.500 And please get involved locally.
00:20:30.400 The fight for reproductive health care isn't just happening on the national level.
00:20:33.780 It happens in your community.
00:20:35.840 Look for opportunities to make a difference right where you live.
00:20:38.880 There's a few ideas I can give you.
00:20:40.840 Support local clinics.
00:20:42.200 Many independent clinics rely on community support to stay open.
00:20:45.780 Donate, volunteer, advocate for them.
00:20:48.720 Join local advocacy groups.
00:20:50.460 Organizations like the National Network of Abortion Funds have local chapters that you can get involved with.
00:20:55.380 And attend town halls.
00:20:57.460 Show up.
00:20:58.000 Ask questions. Make your voice heard.
00:21:00.580 Local politicians need to know that this issue matters.
00:21:04.180 Change starts at home.
00:21:05.560 We cannot be complacent.
00:21:06.840 We can't wait for someone else to do the work.
00:21:09.300 We can't only show up six months before major elections and expect to have an impact.
00:21:13.940 We have to get messy and do the unsexy work of community organizing right now.
00:21:19.300 Don't let the momentum die.
00:21:20.840 The people behind Project 2025 are playing the long game.
00:21:24.400 And so should we.
00:21:25.160 Keep talking about Title X, reproductive justice, and why these issues matter.
00:21:29.840 Show up to rallies, amplify marginalized voices, and never stop fighting.
00:21:34.520 And remember, you're not alone in this.
00:21:36.620 Whether it's grassroots organizing, online activism, or simply having conversations with the people in your life,
00:21:42.560 every action matters.
00:21:44.420 Together, we are louder, stronger, and more powerful than they want us to believe.
00:21:48.380 That was true in the 1960s, it was true in the 2000s, and it's true today.
00:21:53.320 We've seen time and time again that change is possible when we fight for it.
00:21:57.520 Title X has survived attacks before.
00:21:59.880 Civil rights have survived attacks before. 0.68
00:22:02.400 And we can survive this one too, but only if we act. 1.00
00:22:06.640 Until next time, stay bitchy, stay loud, and stay ready to fight for what's right. 0.92
