00:00:00.000 tell me the hallelujah story again
00:00:03.200 um
00:00:09.240 so
00:00:12.160 we're like in this waiting room
00:00:15.360 and it's we've just been
00:00:17.220 through this like whirlwind of meeting
00:00:19.140 the doctors and getting
00:00:21.080 like physically taken by this
00:00:23.240 doctor to this powerhouse
00:00:25.620 woman and he's just like 1.00
00:00:27.160 you're gonna fit her in 0.59
00:00:29.380 like you're going to fit in a biopsy for friday because i need it by this day because i need this 1.00
00:00:33.700 to happen by this day you're going to give her my next available surgery but we're going to get all
00:00:38.120 these tests crammed in before to make sure we have the results but like we're going to hold that
00:00:42.180 surgical date anyway it's just like feeling held you know yeah and then they're like okay well now
00:00:48.340 you're going to walk down this hall and go do a blood test and we're in this packed waiting room
00:00:52.900 elderly scared people we are by far the youngest people there and we're sitting waiting for them
00:00:58.840 to call our name for this blood test and i look up and there's two dudes with like red noses with
00:01:04.100 the plastic thing and like kind of hobo chic like homemade clown things and ukuleles and i like to
00:01:10.480 mark like i don't think this is a good idea and this is a bad idea like people are struggling to
00:01:16.620 hear their names being called already you know and i'm just like i don't think this i don't think
00:01:22.040 this is the vibe you know like i'm very cynical anyway they go up to an older lady and they chat
00:01:27.480 with her and i guess she like requests the song like they asked her what she liked and actually
00:01:34.060 what she wanted and then they start to sing it everybody's masked so mark and i are masked too
00:01:38.680 you know everyone's immune compromised we know the song and we're just like we sing this one all the
00:01:44.380 time like so we just start singing and the clowns are looking around trying to figure out who's
00:01:50.180 singing with them because everybody's masked and then they realize it's us we're right across
00:01:55.680 like they're kind of standing between the patient they spoke with and so then they realize it's us
00:02:02.120 and and we start singing like louder and you know we're we know how to sing that song and we know
00:02:07.800 all the words and so we're just like slowly crying but like singing and then more voices like all
00:02:13.480 these old people joined in the chorus it's like like singing like really and then everyone's like
00:02:20.840 looking around like this is happening and the clowns are like freaking out they're just looking
00:02:27.680 at us like we all sang together this elderly woman right in front of us was alone and she was 0.62
00:02:35.360 like sobbing like by the end just looking at us sobbing and yeah and then they came over to us
00:02:41.520 and they were like should we be a band they're joking but they're like je dis frisson partout
00:02:46.720 I was like I told him when I saw you
00:02:50.520 I didn't know if this was a good idea
00:02:52.080 but it was a good idea
00:02:53.900 and the fact that they had ukuleles
00:02:56.720 too I mean that's your spirit instrument
00:02:58.660 come on
00:02:59.680 I feel like
00:03:02.780 this is a good omen
00:03:04.200 spirit is rising
00:03:06.220 she's rising she's rising
00:03:08.720 the spirit is
00:03:10.540 rising it's rising
00:03:12.480 it's rising
00:03:13.600 the spirit is rising
00:03:16.060 Hi, Coven! Welcome to the Missing Witches Prescription. 0.81
00:03:26.060 Risa is at a doctor's appointment, and she will probably be doing that for a lot of the summer.
00:03:33.160 So, occasionally, and today, to start, I am joined by a member of the Missing Witches Coven,
00:03:41.580 and she brought a prescription for you um so we'll be doing that like i say occasionally
00:03:49.020 throughout the summer members of the coven will be joining me for these prescriptions and i hope
00:03:55.540 that you'll enjoy having fresh voices i know we all miss reese's voice in the coven we make between
00:04:02.800 our ears but she is doing something hella more important right now than recording a podcast
00:04:08.940 obviously the missing witches project is super important to us super important to risa but you
00:04:15.120 can't do a podcast if you are not well period and that goes for whatever your job is whatever
00:04:23.040 your responsibilities are you have to take care of yourself because if you aren't doing that then
00:04:31.360 you can't do all those other responsibilities you have to start with you and i know maybe it feels
00:04:37.860 selfish maybe it feels like your whole existence should be in service to others and if you feel
00:04:45.700 like that that's beautiful that's wonderful but you can't serve out anyone if you're in bed you
00:04:52.180 can't well there are means of service that can happen in bed but y'all know what i'm saying
00:05:01.980 so take care of yourself and please welcome brienne aka molten hot cosmic witch who has
00:05:12.720 brought a prescription to share with us and you and the coven and as always um we'll start by
00:05:21.380 collectively having good thoughts for risa for a few seconds if you're listening to this which you
00:05:27.500 are. Take one, 10, 30 seconds to send Risa some good thoughts. And now I will pass the mic to
00:05:36.920 Brianne Moulton, hot, cosmic witch. How are you, Mama? Thank you. Thank you. I am good. And yes, 0.90
00:05:45.540 all of the love and healing to Risa. Our hearts and our covenants, we can surround her with love
00:05:55.140 and healing. I am good. Thank you for having me. This is really exciting because in my personal
00:06:03.860 life, I have come up with a prescription that is quite the healing process for myself.
00:06:13.200 It's really simple. I mean, right, kind of all witchcraft when you come back to it,
00:06:18.880 it's just really simple. And it's the intention of everything. And what I have learned
00:06:24.660 or more so remembered recently is that it's just, it comes down to love always, love always,
00:06:36.100 never revenge. And that has been now my personal mantra starting this past week, because I've
00:06:43.640 been a part of some things where I really had to just accept and let the negativity fall away
00:06:52.180 and just know that all I can do now is just send love, love to these conflicts, love to people
00:06:59.580 who are hurting. So love always, revenge never. And all of this, by the way, I got from a quote
00:07:10.840 that I came across from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. First, the man who has spent his entire life
00:07:18.220 trying to show the world that it just needs to be full of love and what he said forgiveness
00:07:25.820 is a catalyst creating the atmosphere necessary for a fresh start and new beginning
00:07:33.740 forgiveness is a catalyst and then it goes back to to my personal mantra love always never revenge
00:07:43.920 and i just i i know that this has worked for you that you have seen real and practical
00:07:51.520 results but i want to know how you get to that place i feel like it's so easy to be consumed by
00:08:00.240 rage um or blame you know my life is this because this person did this how did you
00:08:09.080 come to that place where you were able to release the rage and, and, you know, work from a place of
00:08:15.500 love? Yes. Yes. Well, let me tell you, it was a long road to get there. It's, it is, it's really
00:08:23.780 hard to separate yourself from these things. And for me, it, there were a couple of sort of things
00:08:30.920 that became this catalyst. One, it was kind of that, that phrase of, you know, you keep doing
00:08:37.280 the same thing over and you expect different results. And yes. So I kept, you know, going at
00:08:42.660 these things and expecting different results, but things would never change. And it's, you know,
00:08:48.000 because I was still from a place of anger and hadn't changed. And so it was taking time,
00:08:56.620 just kind of sitting back and watching it, watching these things in my life, like a movie
00:09:00.540 going, okay, so what I'm doing here is not working. I need to try something else. Coupled with,
00:09:06.740 And I can't remember if I saw, read, or heard this, but a phrase just stuck with me one
00:09:13.860 day, and it said, hurt people hurt people. 0.99
00:09:18.300 A classic, yes.
00:09:20.000 Yep.
00:09:20.360 And I thought, wow, yes, that I'm hurt.
00:09:24.600 This person I'm hurting is hurt.
00:09:27.000 How can we change this?
00:09:29.280 And a lot of it, I'll be honest, was swallowing my pride.
00:09:32.560 You know, I didn't want to be the better person or I didn't want to sort of cower down.
00:09:40.200 You can say the better person.
00:09:42.340 I can accept that.
00:09:44.380 And I didn't want to cower down because I thought I was losing when what I was going
00:09:48.400 up against was clearly an injustice.
00:09:51.040 I mean, clearly these things that were happening were not right.
00:09:56.060 And, you know, as much as we can also preach, you know, you got to stand up and fight for.
00:10:00.840 Well, at the same time, it's exhausting fighting and you just hear no or doors slammed in your
00:10:05.300 face or all of these things.
00:10:08.240 And so I started looking at it from hurt people or hurt people.
00:10:11.460 How can I do this?
00:10:12.400 I can open my heart and send love.
00:10:14.880 And just when I started cracking my heart open a little bit, I just, I saw things drastically
00:10:21.740 change.
00:10:23.300 I was, so in a personal experience, I was in arguments with my kids' school.
00:10:29.720 It's a, it's a wealthy school. It's, you know, something I've gone up against many times.
00:10:35.660 It's a great education, yet a lot of their beliefs are not what I align with.
00:10:41.140 And, you know, it was just, it incrementally happened. I just, I started opening my heart
00:10:46.760 more and I would see things happen. I would get an invite to something, or I would get a phone call.
00:10:51.520 I would get a teacher saying, hello, or being kind instead of just being so cold. So the more
00:10:56.860 I saw that happening, the more I thought, yes, love always, never revenge. You've got to put
00:11:06.340 that aside and just do it. Just be the better person. And I started imagining myself, like my
00:11:12.880 heart chakra, just blowing out rainbows of glitter and everything else, which then made me happy
00:11:19.220 because I thought, oh, I'm a glittery, sparkly person right now. And people can see that. People
00:11:24.260 and see you when you when your thoughts change or you know when I unfurl my eyebrow or put my 0.99
00:11:30.840 two middle fingers down and you know just the fuck you to the world you know holster those things 0.86
00:11:36.920 and people respond to that having compassion makes your life better it's this idea of like 0.99
00:11:46.640 you forgive other people for you not for them and I will say like sometimes it's hard to
00:11:54.560 conjure compassion for people who have hurt you it it does help and it will make your life better
00:12:01.320 if you're having a hard time with that you know another classic phrase that I believe in very
00:12:07.500 strongly is that living well is the best revenge like you can take that energy and try to make
00:12:14.880 someone else's life worse because they did something or harmed you in some way or you can
00:12:20.260 take that same amount of energy and put it into your own life try to make your own life better
00:12:25.840 and then you know the bonus track of that is they see you killing it being amazing and glorious and 0.99
00:12:32.600 rainbows shooting out of you and they think to themselves like hmm maybe i'm the one who fucked 0.99
00:12:40.140 up here. Maybe I'm the one who made a bad choice. So again, Brie, like you say, love always, 0.99
00:12:48.680 revenge never. But if you must take revenge, dear Coven, in some way, let it be that your life is so
00:12:56.840 amazing that everyone who looks down on you is forced to look up to you. Forced to look up to
00:13:04.860 you and i want to talk about um this idea of pride too right like because of course it's pride month
00:13:11.400 um and that's the good kind i'm proud of myself i'm proud of who i am i'm proud of my sexuality
00:13:21.860 my achievements whatever and then there's that other kind that we're talking about
00:13:27.140 that's like i was too proud to ask for help i was too proud to say i was wrong i was too proud to
00:13:35.700 let someone else win um this is the bad kind this is the kind that's just our egos and there
00:13:43.700 are egos in this way they're not fucking trying to help us you know like so we'll keep pride
00:13:52.220 We'll push hubris, you know, that notion of excessive pride, that egotism that prevents us from reaching out to other people, from humbling ourselves. 0.96
00:14:03.620 And we'll toss that aside.
00:14:06.020 And speaking of Pride Month, it is so hot here.
00:14:10.660 It's officially summer, and it's officially Pride Month.
00:14:14.400 So my prescription is Demi Lovato, Cool for the Summer, a song that she says was written about a same sex relationship that she had. And so my prescription is find somebody to kiss.
00:14:28.500 kiss one another we're cool for the summer
00:14:33.300 try to i mean you know kiss your kids kiss your pets find a random stranger and have a makeout
00:14:47.920 session i feel like it's summer and it's hot and we're sweaty and it's sexy and i want you to know
00:14:56.560 that like you can have a summer fling you know my spouse and I have been together for I think
00:15:03.320 like 16 years married for 11 years but I'm gonna try to have a summer fling with him this summer
00:15:10.380 it doesn't it doesn't have to be so serious so as Demi Lovato sang kiss one another we're cool for
00:15:19.380 the summer i love that love love love i think too that just our our world as a whole like stop
00:15:31.640 making eye contact with people stop touching people everything and yeah you're you're right
00:15:38.860 amy kiss somebody love somebody make sexy eye contact yeah i mean especially you know like
00:15:47.500 covid is still a thing but we had like two three years where we were afraid of people
00:15:52.700 like desperately afraid of people we had to be six feet away from them at all times and i know
00:15:58.440 so many people the hardest thing for them about lockdown was that they were missing that affection
00:16:04.980 maybe they they weren't living with their lover and so they didn't get hugs and kisses and um if
00:16:12.320 you are masking in public that's amazing i respect you um and i i wish that we all would
00:16:19.020 honestly i feel like there was a real opportunity there for us to show that we care about other
00:16:26.180 people and other people's health and a lot of people just for whatever reason ego i'm gonna
00:16:31.660 guess just flatly rejected that opportunity so um if you can carry around little covid tests
00:16:38.640 before you make out with a stranger maybe a little thermometer i know that it doesn't um necessarily
00:16:45.120 always feel safe but if you can get a guarantee that you're not going to get covid then i suggest
00:16:50.180 kissing a stranger try it i love it i love it i love it that is so wild it's pride month it's 0.97
00:17:00.180 summer let's fling y'all let's fucking fling I had a hard winter and I bet a lot of you did too 0.97
00:17:10.440 and I'm just ready to fling I love that I do love that yeah you know life's too short why not just 0.96
00:17:20.640 yeah just feel the summer live in the moment it doesn't have to be so serious you know a friend
00:17:28.780 of mine and i used to send her cool for the summer as a reminder of this you know she got out of
00:17:34.220 a marriage um a long marriage it wasn't a short one and started dating and immediately just got
00:17:42.160 back into this sort of pattern of like this is a relationship now i'm gonna start envisioning our
00:17:47.700 wedding and you know how how our whole 50 years is gonna go and i was like mama you can just be
00:17:56.520 cool for the summer it's okay not every kiss has to be from a soulmate
00:18:03.440 exactly yes and i think that too empowers uh a sense of self and maybe not having to jump
00:18:14.580 into a relationship like a full pledge i know i have a couple of nieces who i have just been
00:18:20.480 recently like you know sort of same thing they one was out of a marriage one's out of a long-term
00:18:26.220 relationship. And it's like, just when you find yourself and just enjoy yourself for the time
00:18:32.100 before you jump into something else and, you know, yeah, you go back into that cycle of,
00:18:37.340 well, this is what it should be. And this is what it's not. And just, yeah, fling it, explore your,
00:18:42.060 fling yourself. I was going to say, absolutely. I want you to fling yourself because, you know,
00:18:47.240 it's a little intimidating, especially like I say, if you're immunocompromised, 0.61
00:18:52.000 kissing a stranger is outside of your you know ability um totally fling yourself like 0.97
00:19:01.480 masturbation summer masturbation summer like explore your body um we have a coven mate who 0.99
00:19:09.320 is going through a divorce right now and was asking for advice and the advice that i gave 0.98
00:19:16.140 her was masturbate like get to know your own body the pleasures of solitude only you know 0.98
00:19:23.120 what really feels good to you and your body and so many of us especially women you know it seems 0.99
00:19:30.680 like when I was growing up at least like boys talked about jerking off all the time and the 0.99
00:19:35.800 idea of a woman talking about masturbation was so much more taboo than a guy talking about jerking 0.99
00:19:42.120 off. So let's talk about it and let's do it. Like touch your body. It's yours. It's yours. 1.00
00:19:48.580 Give yourself pleasure. Fling yourself. Fling yourself. Well, and then there's the magic of 0.83
00:19:56.040 the, we're just going to call it flinging. The magic of personal fling is that when,
00:20:01.760 right as you're, I was taught this by, so when I got divorced, my meditation teacher slash shaman
00:20:09.000 said, okay, go to, and there's this great store in Seattle called Babes in Toyland. It's a woman
00:20:14.200 owned, you know, woman respected sex toy store. And of course I go in there and I'm like, 0.74
00:20:20.600 I've never, I don't know. And, you know, and she explained everything and, you know,
00:20:26.680 sent me on my way with a couple of toys and wow, we was that.
00:20:32.260 wow we did i realize what i was missing for decades before and also uh so my meditation
00:20:43.400 with teachers tell me you know as you're coming to the climax of orgasm imagine what you want
00:20:49.600 to come into your life or you want what you want to get rid of sort of your hopes and dreams and
00:20:54.860 at this climactic moment in the universe this energy is pure magic make that happen yes
00:21:02.200 And I have still, I still do that to this day.
00:21:06.440 I'm married.
00:21:07.160 My husband is very well aware of, you know, we call it some, you know, some days we want 0.95
00:21:13.080 to have sex with each other. 0.89
00:21:14.080 Some days we just want to have a little snack by ourselves. 1.00
00:21:17.140 You know, they just want to masturbate by myself. 0.99
00:21:19.520 I don't want you. 1.00
00:21:20.460 And he's fine with it.
00:21:21.900 Vice versa.
00:21:23.720 And go ahead.
00:21:25.340 I was going to say, and in that, that moment of that energy exchange of my body and the
00:21:30.380 universe, I put something out there. And I'll be honest, I've said before, I want a pile of cash
00:21:36.400 to show up. I want some bill to be paid for. So you can ask for anything. I want love. I want a
00:21:42.060 better relationship. I want to lose 10 pounds. Playing myself all day, I probably could lose 10
00:21:47.640 pounds. There's a long, long history of sex magic. And I think some people think that that's something
00:21:55.000 that has to be done with a partner and it really really doesn't like a vibrator is a magic wand
00:22:01.000 and i believe that there are there is like a branded product that's a vibrator that's called
00:22:07.320 a magic wand and that's for a reason you know um so i mean let's conclude before we get too deep
00:22:15.940 our prescriptions are have a fling a fling yourself go into this summer with love and
00:22:28.020 compassion and if you need revenge let it be the revenge of a life lived well living well
00:22:35.080 is the best revenge have compassion for yourself for your body get a vibrator fling that magic wand
00:22:43.280 around um because you know my spouse and i have talked about this before a lot of couples i think 0.86
00:22:49.700 there's a weird like jealousy where if someone is masturbating they feel like it's because they
00:22:55.500 don't want me but it's a different vibe entirely it's you know i love burgers and i love pizza
00:23:02.500 and they're not in competition with each other and sometimes i want a burger and sometimes i
